Second Chance Thrift Named Chicago’s Best

Congratulations to Second Chance Thrift, which has been selected for the 2009 Best of Chicago Award in the “Thrift Stores” category. The award was presented by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).
The honor comes after Cathedral Shelter itself recently recieved both the 2008 and 2009 Best of Chicago Awards in the field of Drug Abuse & Addiction Treatment by the U.S. Local Business Association.
The USCA “Best of Local Business” Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Second Chance Thrift, located at 1674 West Ogden Avenue, Chicago, IL, is the only store in the Chicago area affiliated with Cathedral Shelter of Chicago. Store proceeds support Cathedral Shelter’s programs and services, reaching 10,000 people each year.
