It turns out that bread crust, marinara, and mozzarella make powerful weapons of hope on Chicago’s Near West Side—especially when topped with a little sausage and pepperoni. On November 9, Cathedral Shelter’s food ministry joined forces with Littler Caesar Pizza’s “Love Kitchen” in the fight against hunger during their neighborhood pizza giveaway! Free warm pizzas were distributed to low-income families, seniors, and homeless individuals. It seems that, for a day, the tasty treat etched in the heart of Chicago culture, made its mark as a deep-dish treasure of hope for so many men, women, and children in need.
